Miguel Cotto Vs. Canelo Alvarez Fight Update: Who’s On Who’s Side?

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez

As the Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez fight comes closer and closer, each boxing icons have their own analysis and pick on who will come out victorious after that fight.

First, Roger Mayweather said that Cotto is in danger of getting his ass kicked by the younger Alvarez. According to him, Alvarez has the edge over Cotto based from their fight against his nephew, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"Cotto may get his [backside] whooped," Roger said to Hustle Boss. "I can't see what Cotto is going to do to him. That mother [expletive] is big."
"He [Mayweather] beat him [Canelo] on boxing ability," Roger said. "Floyd boxed him. He couldn't do nothing with Floyd. [Canelo will] have better success with Cotto."
Meanwhile, respected trainer Teddy Atlas believes that Canelo Alvarez is just too young and too big for Miguel Cotto to outlast.
"His last three have been a mirage," Atlas told The Sweet Science. "I'm not knocking Cotto, I like him... but Sergio Martinez was a shot fighter, Delvin Rodriguez, great kid, but never been on that level, and shot. And Daniel Geale, he was at that weight, under middleweight, older... and he'd submitted before, showing he would do that, against Golovkin."
"That's not the Cotto that everyone thinks he is now. I'm not buying it. This fight against Canelo will tell me if the last three were a mirage, or Cotto is as good as some say now."
Lastly, Freddie Roach said that he foresees himself retiring with a Miguel Cotto win over Alvarez, as well as Gennady Golovkin beating the heck out of David Lemieux.
Miguel Cotto vs. Canelo Alvarez fight is bound to happen on Nov. 21.
