When an oil pipeline in Nefteyugansk, Russia, ruptured in July, humans weren't the only ones on the receiving end of its goopy, hazardous mess. These two itty-bitty kittens were almost lost in the murky floods.
Thankfully, one man heard their cries for help and brought them into his care.
We all know how devastating an oil spill can be...
So when Anatoly Tuptey heard these kittens calling out, he didn't hesitate to help.
He says one was stuck all the way up to his neck in the oil.
Tuptey braved the bleak waters to make sure he retrieved both, bringing them back to his home.
After a much-needed bath, some food, and plenty of cuddles, they met his dog.

Thank goodness this man was able to hear their cries for help. While speaking to The Siberian Times, Tuptey said he was confused how anyone could leave these precious babies to fend for themselves in such awful conditions. Luckily, it looks like they won't have to worry about that ever again.
